PLATFORM LIFT OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

How to use the platform lift

To ensure the safe operation and longevity of the lift, and to avoid triggering the PIT Safety Alarm, please observe the following:

1. Before Use
  • Maximum load: Do not exceed 300kg.
  • Ensure any load is evenly distributed and stable.
  • Wheelchair users must:
    • Engage brakes during movement.
    • Switch off electric wheelchairs.

2. Using Floor Controls
  • Insert the master key and turn it to the "1" position.
  • Press and hold the call button until:
    • The platform arrives (if not already there), and
    • The gate unlocks automatically.
  • Do not attempt to open the gate manually or before the platform has fully arrived at the landing. This may trigger a safety alarm and damage the gate mechanism.

3. Using On-Board Controls
  • Insert and turn the key on the on-board control panel.
  • Select your destination using the up/down button.
  • Hold down the button continuously until the lift reaches the landing.
  • The platform will stop and the gate will unlock automatically.
  • Turn the key back to "0" and remove it.

4. Emergency Use
  • The Emergency Stop Button halts the lift immediately.
  • To reset: Turn the button clockwise 45°.
  • The Alarm Button activates a buzzer for assistance if required.

5. Important Usage Rules
  • Do not push, pull or lean on the gate before it has unlocked.
  • The gate is designed to remain locked during travel.
  • Never force the gate open—doing so may damage the mechanism and trigger the PIT Safety Alarm.
  • Platform use is restricted to individuals with mobility needs, with or without assistance. Other uses are not permitted.

6. To Prevent Malfunctions
  • Always allow the lift to fully arrive at the destination before touching the gate.
  • Wait for the gate to unlock automatically—this indicates it's safe to enter or exit.
